Spoken Word for The Poetry Cafe (2025)

I presented a poem at my first official poetry slam titled “Black Pepper Word Salad”. The poem explores inner thoughts and feelings of the Black existence in rapid flow.

Always (2023)

Always is a poem I wrote during Black History Month in 2023. This work explores Black pride and joy in a celebratory manner.

Black (2023)

This poem, similar to Always, explores the idea that Black culture can be found in just about every nook and cranny in America.

They Say (2025)

In lieu of the civil and political conflict going on in America, this poem was written out of feelings of frustration, anger, and fatigue. They Say explores internal conflict surrounding religion and moral obligation.

To You, My Love (2024)

This work delves into the intense feelings that are accompanied with romantic love. It explores the idea of giving generously to the other person without worry of growing fatigued.
