Software used: Adobe Photoshop, Express

Rapper Dc the Don has a studio album titled “Come as You Are”. Because I had the opportunity to photograph him at a show in 2023, I decided to use a photo I took from the show and recreate the album cover with it.

Wasteland vinyl album concepts (2023)

Software used: Adobe Express

R&B singer Brent Faiyaz has a studio album titled “Wasteland”. I wanted to completely reimagine the original album cover design and showcase how it would look if it was sold on vinyl.

In My Hair (2025)

Software used: Adobe Photoshop

In My Hair is a self portrait inspired by the cultural experience of being a Black woman in America. Using a selfie I took on my phone, I turned myself into a stone mountain of sorts and included people aimlessly walking over it.

Abigail, What’s Next? (2023)

Software used: Adobe Photoshop, Express, PicsArt

Abigail, What’s Next? Is a two-fold self portrait that fully indulges into my psychedelic and abstract art style. This piece in particular is heavily inspired by an anime from the 90’s called Cowboy Bebop.

[Untitled] (2020)

Software used: PicsArt

This is the first digital self-portrait I ever made. I began delving into digital art at the start of the pandemic and fell in love with it. In this design, I tried to take one selfie and attempt to remix each one to convey a different emotion.

[Untitled] (2025)

Software used: Adobe Photoshop

This portrait was born out of a photo my friend took of me inside a ball pit. I wanted to capture the feeling of drowning in something other than water to symbolize what it means to drown in stress -- something that isn’t exactly concrete or tangible.

Fever-dream (2023)

Software used: PicsArt

For this two-part piece, I wanted to capture the unsettling nature of fever dreams. The original photo was taken at an art museum; I loved how the monument resembled a natural portal, which is what inspired the overall concept.

Playboi Carti Wallpaper (2023)

Software used: Adobe Photoshop, Express

This mixed media piece depicts rapper Playboi Carti with a vampiric aesthetic. I found an existing photo of the rapper and created a mixed media piece with it.

Chicago in a New Dimension (2020)

Software used: PicsArt

When I visited Chicago in 2017, I had the pleasure of capturing many photos of the buildings. This photo in particular struck me as a photo that needed to be reimagined. I decided to recreate the image two ways to give them an other-worldly feel

Untitled (2023)

Software used: Adobe Photoshop, Express

This piece all began with a photo of an empty cereal bowl with milk still inside. I took that photo and created a pseudo-triptych to evoke discomfort and fever-dream like feelings.

    Abigail of the Na’vi (2024)

    Software used: PicsArt Color

This self portrait is an iPad sketch I created for a previous group project for a multimedia and videography class. I wanted to reimagine myself as a Na’vi person; the Na’vi people exist in the fictional universe of the Avatar seriers.

      Portrait of Damien (2024)

      Software used: PicsArt Color

These drawings are two variations of a freehand iPad sketch I made of my friend, Damien.

I Hope it Sucks as Much as My Migraine (2024)

Software used: Adobe Express, PicsArt Color

This piece was actually created in the midst of me having a migraine. I wanted to capture a simple car driving by, but how it looks and feels when you are having a bad migraine. This iPad painting also highlights what the world can look like around you when you’re angry and in a poor mood.

        Nature’s Sound (2021)

        Medium: Acrylic paint on vinyl

I ordered a two-piece vinyl set of an album I really love, but unfortunately, one of the vinyls arrived completely scratched. Instead of sending the order back, I decided to take the faulty vinyl and turn it into another form of art entirely: a painting!
